Cocoa and sugar. That's the list.

No vanilla, no added cocoa butter, no lecithin. So when a bar tastes of raspberry, that came from the bean and the way we roast it.

We buy from the regions named on each wrapper, and print the roast date next to the best-before date.

Made in one room

Roaster, grinder and a marble slab. The stone grinder runs for three days on each batch, which is where the smoothness comes from.

Choose three bars anywhere on the site and they land here. A box ships as a gift with a handwritten card if you ask, and we can send it to several addresses from one order.

Before you order

Will it melt in the post?: From April to September bars go in an insulated sleeve with a cold pack, and we don't post on Thursdays or Fridays so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend.
What's in it, for allergies?: Cocoa beans and cane sugar. No milk, nuts, soy or gluten in the recipe. The room also roasts hazelnuts for a friend's shop, so we can't promise traces won't get in.
How long does it keep?: A year from the roast date on the back. After that it goes dull and a bit chalky, but it's still safe to eat.
Can I send it as a gift?: Yes. Add a note at checkout and we write it by hand on a card. A box can go to several addresses from one order.
What if a bar arrives broken or bloomed?: Send a photo and we post another. Grey streaks are cocoa butter that got warm: harmless, but not what you paid for.
Is anything vegan?: All eight. There's no milk in any of them.
