Before you book
- How do we get there?
- Train to Kathgodam, then a three-hour drive up through Almora. We'll book a taxi for you from the station.
- Is there food?
- Breakfast and dinner are part of the stay, cooked in the kitchen from what's in season. Lunch on request.
- Is there mobile signal and Wi-Fi?
- Jio and Airtel work on the verandah. Wi-Fi is slow but steady, fine for email, not for video calls.
- Can we bring a dog?
- In the Orchard Cottage, yes. Tell us when you book; the house dogs need to be introduced.
- Is it suitable for elderly parents?
- The Orchard Cottage and Deodar Room are step-free from the car. The Attic has 24 steep stairs.
- What if the road closes?
- In the monsoon it sometimes does. If you can't reach us on the day, we move your dates without a fee.
