Studio project by Turnaround. Third Floor is an invented studio and the classes can't be booked.

First visit

Six reformers,
three floors up.

A small pilates studio in an old Bandra building. Small classes, springs set for your body, and a teacher who knows your name by the second visit.

Four kinds of class

Small on purpose: six on the reformers, three on the tower.

Your first visit

  1. One-to-oneFifty minutes on the reformer with a teacher. We ask about injuries and set your springs.
  2. Then a packTen classes, to use in ten weeks. Mat to start, reformer when you're ready.
  3. After eightThe tower opens up, and you'll notice you stand differently.

Before you come

I've never done pilates. Where do I start?
A one-to-one first session on the reformer, 50 minutes, where we set your springs and learn your body. Then mat or reformer classes.
Is it only for women?
No. About a third of our regulars are men, mostly runners and people with desk backs.
I have a bad back.
Tell us when you book. Many people come for exactly that, but if it's an injury we'll ask for a physio's or doctor's note first.
What do I wear?
Anything you can move in that isn't baggy, so we can see your knees and hips. Grip socks for the reformer.
What if I can't make it?
Cancel up to 12 hours before and the class goes back on your pack. Later than that, it's used, unless you're ill.
Is there a lift?
No. It's three floors of old stone stairs, which is where the name comes from. Tell us if that's a problem and we'll suggest a nearby studio.
